2017 Crib Festival
Friday 8th December – Sunday 10th December
This year we are holding a Crib Festival in church and would like to invite groups, families or organisations to design, make and display a crib scene, or part of a crib scene – maximum size 60cm high, 60cm wide and 46cm deep (24” x 24” x 18”).
The terms and conditions are below and if you are interested in exhibiting, please complete the on-line registration below. Closing date for registration is 5pm on Friday 20th October.
There will be a prize for the best display.
We are also looking for an special or unusual crib sets that people are willing to loan to us for the weekend. Please get in touch with email@example.com by Friday 20th October to let us know.
Terms and Conditions for exhibitors
The maximum size of the display will be 60cm high x 60cm wide and 46cm deep. Anything over this size will be disqualified.
The display can depict any, or all, of a traditional nativity scene.
It can be made from any materials you wish eg kitchen roll tubes, wool, fabric, wood, paper, flowers, cake etc
No naked flames must be used. If the display is to be lit, only battery-operated lights can be used. There will be no access to electrics.
The exhibits will be on display to the public from Friday 8th until Sunday 10th.
The displays will be exhibited on boards placed across the tops of the side pews towards the aisle which will be slid towards the wall, if necessary, for events planned during the Crib Festival period.
You will be responsible for setting up your display on Thursday 7th December between 6pm and 9pm and not removed until 7pm or after the Christingle Service on Sunday 10th December.
Only the name of the group, family or organisation is permitted on the exhibit. No display or publicity material is permitted on the walls or pews.
During church open times, volunteers will be in the building to welcome people and provide refreshments, neither the volunteers nor St Cuthbert’s PCC accept any responsibility for any damage to any exhibit by a member of the public.
You will be responsible for taking down and removing your display from church between 7.00pm and 8pm on Sunday 10th December and before 7pm on Monday 11th December. Displays not removed will be dumped.
