As we are in Tier 4 it has been agreed that our churches will not open for public worship on Sundays in January to keep each other safe in the light of the latest strain of Covid-19. This will be reviewed for February.

We will try to stream-live on YouTube using our newly acquired equipment for live-streaming, but it takes some getting used to, and so much to remember. Those who are operating the equipment are novices, so please bear with us as we learn some new skills. Our Communion Service on Sunday 6th will be at St Johns

This Sunday, 6th December at 10.30am, we will be holding a joint service at St John’s to celebrate the church reopening after the lengthy repairs to the spire.

We will be joined by The Archdeacon of Lancaster who will license Revd Nick Wells as the Interim Priest In charge. Please all come along to celebrate together.

There is no need to prebook, your details will be taken as you arrive, all we ask is that you wear a face covering if you can.

There will not be a service at St Cuthberts on Sunday 6th December.

Our Annual Parochial Church Meetings will start immediately after the service and will last approximately 15 minutes due to the local Covid restrictions. All the paperwork can be found on the website or are available at the back of church.

Sunday 18th October 2020

Our church is open for services at 8.30am and 10am as usual, but as we are in Tier 3 lockdown rules please be extra vigilant when coming into church. Remember Face – Space – Hands. And check in with the NHS Covid-19 APP and give your name and contact details when asked. If you have symptoms of coronavirus or feel unwell please do not attend church. Keep yourself and everyone else safe.

Next Sunday we have planned to hold our Annual Parochial Church Meetings, but there will be some changes taking place as recommended by the Diocese. Watch this space for further details.

Annual Parochial Church Meeting

You are invited to the APCM on Sunday 26th October 2020 at 11.00am.

Please be aware that when coming into church all rules and regulations must be followed to stop the spread of Covid-19 – wear a face covering over your nose and mouth – keep 2m (6ft) distance from anyone not in your household or social bubble – sterilise your hands on entering and exiting church – sign in via the NHS-COVID-19 app or give your contact details when asked.
