St Cuthbert’s is a fine early Victorian Church at the west end of Lytham. Yet the real truth is that St Cuthbert’s is a community of Christian people living, working and caring for Lytham and beyond. This ministry dates back at least 800 years. Our mission statement is:
To be an inviting church, growing in Jesus, and seeking to honour God through our worship, activities and buildings.
We endeavour to be a vibrant Christian community of faith. Seeking to support the Blackburn Diocesan Vision to make Disciples, be Witnesses and grow Leaders. We aim to build relationships through love, wisdom and strength by the power of the Holy Spirit.
Due to Coronavirus, we are doing things a little differently, but we are very much open:
- Sunday we have Communion at 8:30am and 10am in church to book please email firstname.lastname@example.org to book as places are limited. We also have a live streamed service available at 10am through our Facebook page;
- Monday to Saturday we share Morning Prayer through our Facebook page at 9am, the church building is open for private prayer from 11am to 1pm.
As the Archbishops of Canterbury and York have said: “Far from having to “shut up shop”, the Church of England must face the challenge by becoming a radically different kind of church rooted in prayer and serving others.” At St Cuthbert’s we continue to respond to this call.
If you do not find what you are looking for here, please do not hesitate to ring the Parish Office Monday – Friday mornings. 01253 736488.
