About Us

St Cuthbert’s is a community of Christian people living, working and caring for Lytham and beyond.  This ministry dates back at least 800 years. Our mission statement is: To be an inviting church, growing in Jesus, and seeking to honour God through our worship, activities and buildings.

We endeavour to be a vibrant Christian community of faith.  Seeking to support the Blackburn Diocesan Vision to make Disciples, be Witnesses and grow Leaders.   We aim to build relationships through love, wisdom and strength by the power of the Holy Spirit.

At the present time we are still holding regular worship services in church, all we ask is that you wear a face covering, keep socially distanced, sign in with your NHS COVID-19 APP, and give your name and a contact number when you enter.  Should you test positive with Covid-19 within the next few days of attending worship please let us know.

The Services are :
 Sunday Communion at 8:30am and 10am in church. We
also live-stream the 10am service on our Facebook and YouTube
social media channels;
 Monday to Saturday we share Morning Prayer through our
Facebook page at 9am;
 Wednesday midweek Communion at 11am in church.

As the Archbishops of Canterbury and York have said:  “Far from having to “shut up shop”, the Church of England must face the challenge by becoming a radically different kind of church rooted in prayer and serving others.”  At St Cuthbert’s we continue to respond to this call.
